Editing: blog task

Editing: blog task Use as much media language as you can - and remember to  highlight it . Try and use the key words we've learned for editing if possible. You can also use  any other aspects of film language  that we have studied in your analysis - just like the in-class clips where we discuss how editing combines with cinematography, sound or mise-en-scene. Kim Young Dae and Han Ji Hyun have a huge fight [The Penthouse 3 Ep 2] This scene is from a Korean drama called Penthouse, and I have chosen the scene where the twin siblings are arguing. We are first introduced to a wide shot of the dining room before straight into an over the shoulder shot of the girl talking to her brother. This scene is set in the dining room of the house in the penthouse. The siblings (twins) are both wearing school uniforms, indicating they are students and are getting prepared before going to school in the morning. In this scene, it shows the twins having a dispute, which gets physical near the end of t

Editing video feedback and learner response

Editing video feedback and learner response 1) Type up your feedback/comments from your teacher. creative, engaging, entertaining- great reaction from the class says it all! however, in terms of the editing brief I wonder if it drifted away from continuity editing a little bit too much, particularly towards the end. the match on action at the start actually had too many cuts- it ended up drawing attention to the editing rather than making it seamless. 2) Type up your feedback from fellow students. WWW: the audio is very good i loved the sound effects entertaining and very funny i loved the different camera shots at the beginning nice music and sound the flashback was funny i loved the black and white scene good editing my favourite narrative good use of shot/reverse shot funny nice 180 degree rule i loved the flashback of khaterah falling- so funny EBI: khaterah used the camera stand instead of an actual crutch more talking khaterah didn't fall enough broke the 180 degree rule 3)

Editing video planning

Editing video planning 1) Discuss what your preliminary exercise will involve – make notes on your blog  post of location, sequence of events, casting etc. Location: Classroom Casting:  Ishmeet-Evil Aunty 1                 Anas- Evil Aunty 2                 Khaterah- Girl who previously got pushed down the stairs Events: - Gossip over tea 2) Write a short  script  for the preliminary exercise. Remember, scripts outline movement and shots as well as dialogue. The  BBC Writer's Room  is a brilliant resource for tips and examples of TV script writing.  Here's a genuine TV script example from Luther  to check you are formatting your script correctly.                                                   SCRIPT Ishmeet enters the room, she sits down. Both her and Anas pull out their tea from tea from their bags.                                                   ANAS                                Aunty Ishmeet lovely to see you! Anas gives a dirty look.
